Anti·Click

Terms of service

What the service promises, what it deliberately does not, and how billing works.

Draft — not yet in force

The sections describing what data is collected and who receives it are accurate: they are written from the code and there is a test that keeps them in step with it. The items below are facts about the business rather than the software, so they are left visibly blank instead of filled with plausible-looking defaults — a wrong governing-law clause is worse than a missing one. This draft still needs legal review.

What is being agreed

These terms cover use of the Anti-Click service by the account holder. Creating an account means accepting them.

What the service does, and what it does not promise

The service scores clicks for signs of fraud and, when connected to Google Ads, can add flagged IP addresses to a campaign's exclusion list.

It is a detection tool and detection is probabilistic. No promise is made that every fraudulent click is caught, that no genuine click is ever flagged, or that any particular amount of advertising spend will be recovered. The estimated saving shown in the dashboard is an estimate computed from the account's own stated cost per click; it is not a measurement of money returned.

Scoring thresholds and individual detection layers are the account holder's to configure per site. Changing them changes what is flagged, and that choice is theirs.

Plans, usage and what happens at the limit

Each plan includes a monthly click allowance. Reaching it does not interrupt recording: clicks continue to be recorded and counted, and only fraud scoring pauses until the next billing period or an upgrade. This is deliberate — the snippet is on a live site and must never start failing.

Accounts that have not subscribed have a smaller free allowance, shown on the Billing screen.

Billing

Subscriptions are monthly and charged in advance through Stripe. Choosing a plan starts a 14-day trial and does not require a card.

If a payment fails, Stripe retries over several days and the account is marked past due; if every attempt fails the subscription ends and the account returns to free limits. Records already collected are not deleted when a subscription ends.

Cancellation and refunds

A subscription can be cancelled at any time from the billing portal, and takes effect at the end of the paid period.

The refund terms are one of the items this page cannot state yet — see the note at the end. Stripe also requires a published refund policy before an account can accept live payments, so this has to be settled before launch rather than after.

Acceptable use

The snippet may only be installed on sites the account holder controls. The service may not be used to collect data about visitors for any purpose other than detecting advertising fraud, and may not be used to build cross-site profiles.

Liability

The shape of this clause — what is excluded, what is capped, and at what amount — depends on the jurisdiction and is not something to draft by analogy. It is left for legal review rather than filled with boilerplate that may be unenforceable or unfair.
